Certified Welder

Responsibilities
As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:
– Reads diagrams and drawings and takes or reads measurement to plan layout and procedures.
– Determines appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
– Sets up components for welding according to specifications
– Cuts material with equipment to match measurements.
– Welds components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead).
– Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures.
– Experience in using electrical or manual tools.
– Inspects and repairs trailer inspection components.
– Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
– Proficient in welding best practices.
– Performs compete welding and finishing operations for the repair of equipment.
– Knowledge of relative safety standards.
– Strong attention to detail.
– Monitors equipment functionality and reports maintenance needs.
– Communicates any deficiencies to supervisor.
