Risk Specialists
The Risk Management Specialist will identify, assess, and make recommendations that will manage and mitigate the organization’s risks.

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Support and partner with other departments to ensure risk and compliance issues are identified, assessed, mitigated, monitored and reported.
• Monitor and enforce adherence to all applicable regulatory requirements and internal corporate policies.
• Drive and support the development, management and improvement of the risk and compliance practice.
• Gathers and compiles data related to risk from internal and external resources.
• Identifies potential risks by analyzing data, observing processes, and talking to staff.
• Drafts and delivers reports and presentations outlining findings, identifying and explaining potential risks, and recommending solutions.
• Lead internal issue/event investigations, coordinating risk mitigation efforts and providing compliance recommendations.
• Works closely with other technical, project and security management to develop a fuller understanding of the intent, objectives, and activities of cyber threat actors and enables a world-class cyber defense program
• Ensures and/or facilitates adequate communication concerning key risks.
• Drafts and/or evaluates risk disclosures and similar documentation.
• Maintains knowledge of existing and developing laws and regulations related to the organization’s industry; assesses and explains how new requirements may affect the organization in terms of risk exposure.
• Utilize and maintain a depth understanding of applications and tools required for risk execution and reporting needs.
• Provide effective mentoring and guidance to other departments and may assist in developing policy, standards and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, Ability to break down, prioritize and manage multiple competing tasks independently.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Capable of managing large complex assignments and problem resolution with a focus on a successful outcome.
• Able to take control of difficult situations and handle them across both IT and business units effectively.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of IT Risk Management experience or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
• In depth understanding of industry standard frameworks for process and their integrations with other best practices (Agile, DevOps).
• Advanced knowledge of risk assessment and internal controls.
• Knowledge of IT processes and operations.
• Committed to continuous improvement as well as innovation.

Preferred Skills and Certifications:
Familiarity with risk governance and audit frameworks, such as COBIT, ISO.
