Sales and Operations Director

KALIMA is recruiting on behalf of a Shopping Center, a leading retail group operating 20 Mega Stores across Libya, for a high-impact Sales & Operations Director to lead growth, operational excellence, and profitability.

› Role Purpose

The Sales & Operations Director is a senior leadership role responsible for defining and executing an integrated sales and operations strategy across all branches. The role ensures revenue growth, operational consistency, cost efficiency, and an exceptional customer experience across the retail network.

› Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute annual and quarterly sales and operations strategies aligned with corporate goals.
Partner with the executive team to define financial targets, budgets, and strategic priorities.
Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
Drive a culture of performance, innovation, and customer-centric execution.

Sales Management
Lead promotional campaigns, pricing strategies, and sales activation plans in coordination with Marketing.
Monitor B2B and retail sales performance using ERP dashboards and analytics.
Design and manage incentive schemes to motivate sales teams and achieve targets.
Oversee key accounts and B2B channels to ensure sustainable growth.

Operations Management
Oversee store operations including inventory, stock control, logistics, and shrinkage reduction.
Establish and enforce standardized operating procedures across all branches.
Coordinate closely with Supply Chain to align forecasts with stock availability.
Resolve field-level operational challenges impacting sales or customer satisfaction.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security standards.

Team Leadership & Development
Lead, mentor, and develop branch managers and department heads.
Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular performance reviews.
Design and implement training programs for sales excellence, customer service, and operational efficiency.
Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance culture.

Financial Management & Reporting
Own the P&L for the retail division, focusing on revenue growth, cost control, and profitability.
Prepare and present performance reports and business insights to the CEO and executive committee.
Oversee budgeting for sales and operations, ensuring financial discipline and alignment.

› Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
Minimum 10 years of retail experience, including 5› years in a senior leadership role overseeing sales and operations.
Proven success managing multi-store retail operations, preferably in fashion/apparel.
Strong financial acumen with hands-on P&L, budgeting, and performance analysis experience.
In-depth knowledge of ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred), retail analytics, and inventory management.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Inventory turnover and stock-to-sales ratio

Store and sales team performance
