Ingénieur Systèmes d’Éclairage Automobile (Catia / Prototype / R&D) – Automotive Lighting Engineer

*Role Description:
This is a remote contract role for an Automotive Lighting Engineer specializing in the design, development, and prototyping of automotive lighting systems using CATIA. The engineer will collaborate with R&D teams to conceptualize and design advanced lighting solutions, create prototypes, and oversee system integration and testing.

Location: Remote — Candidates must be based in Tunisia

› Contract duration: 4–5 months

Responsibilities:
• Development of prototype concepts, including consideration of supplier-provided prototype components
• Creation of project and budget plans
• Coordination of surface data (CAD data) with concept specialists and design teams
• Alignment of designs with mechanical engineers and designers
• Design and calculation of electronic circuits
• Identification, research, and procurement of required hardware
• Supplier acquisition for custom-made components
• Supervision and execution of 3D printing for prototypes
• Mechanical and electrical assembly of prototypes and functional models
• Photometric measurements and adjustment of functional models
• Presentation of prototypes
• Supplier acquisition for special custom manufacturing

Requirements:
• Successfully completed degree in a scientific or technical field or a comparable qualification
• Relevant experience in prototype/model construction and in the automotive or special vehicle industry
• Knowledge of lighting technology
• Initial experience in automotive and special vehicle engineering
• Design experience with CAD software such as CATIA V5 or Rhinoceros is an advantage
• Fluent English skills, both written and spoken
• Independent, structured, and efficient working style
• Strong customer orientation, excellent communication skills, assertiveness, and strong problem-solving abilities
• Motivation, teamwork skills, flexibility, and a confident professional demeanor
