A young medical writing company based in Tunis is looking for a:

Medical Writer/Editor

Location: El Manar 2, Tunis, Tunisia / Possibility of part time home-based
Contract Type: Permanent, full-time
Job Type: writing
Education: Master’s degree in English or Graduate degree (advanced degree preferred) in any biomedical field
Experience: 0-2 years relevant experience
Compensation: According to qualifications and experience

The Opportunity
Your primary responsibilities will be to:
• Assist the project manager with writing, editing, formatting and proofreading scientific documents
• Conduct secondary and background research ensuring content accuracy and legibility
• Draft and finalize scientific papers and publications
• Develop simple visuals and graphics (e.g., in Excel or PowerPoint)

The Requirements
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Experience in presenting research findings in written format with an emphasis to attention to scientific accuracy and aesthetics
• Excellent attention to detail, good grammar and syntax skills
• Proficiency in the use of the Office suite of products (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and experience in developing a PowerPoint presentation (basic skills required, advanced skills preferred)
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
• Strong conceptual and analytic skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and to multitask
• Ability to exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices and to determine appropriate action independently
• Motivated, creative and enjoy new challenges.
It is helpful, but not essential, to have:
• Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and drug development process
• Understanding of market access and health economics
• Familiarity with bibliographic referencing software (Reference Manager) and/or the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS)
